The Western Digital Purple WD44PURZ is a 4TB surveillance-grade hard drive specifically engineered for 24/7, always-on security systems. Unlike standard desktop drives, it is optimized for the high-temperature and write-intensive environments of DVR and NVR systems.

• High Write Intensity: Surveillance is 90% writing data and 10% reading. This drive is tuned for that specific cycle.
• Multi-Drive Systems: It features sensors to mitigate rotational vibration when installed in recorders with up to 16 drives.
• Longevity: It features a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of 1 million hours and a 3-year limited warranty
