The Anycubic Kobra 3 Series / Kobra 3 Max Quick-Connect Fitting Housing: is the pneumatic PTFE tube guide and retention socket assembly mounted on the top feed entrance of the printhead toolhead and multi-color Filament Hub/ACE Pro feed lines.Its primary function is to securely lock the 2mm x 4mm PTFE reverse-bowden guide tubes in place with a spring-loaded collet, preventing the tube from sliding out or slipping during aggressive filament retractions and rapid printhead movements.
Push-to-Connect Retention: Houses internal stainless-steel lock teeth and a spring-loaded release collet that grips the outer diameter of 4 mm PTFE tubing firmly without crushing the inner filament bore.
Low-Friction Filament Path: Features a smooth internal funnel that guides 1.75 mm filament straight through from the external feed tube into the extruder drive gears without snagging.
Vibration & Strain Relief: Secures the PTFE entry point against structural strain caused by high-acceleration directional changes during 600 mm/s printing speeds.
Modular Snap/Screw Mounting: Designed as a compact, direct-replacement housing that secures directly onto the toolhead top shell or filament hub casing.

Maintenance & Care Tips

Releasing the PTFE Tube: To remove a tube without damaging the housing, press the outer collet ring down firmly toward the body before pulling the PTFE tube upward.
Inspect for Tube Wear: If a PTFE tube keeps slipping out under retraction, trim 5 mm cleanly off the end of the PTFE tube with a sharp tube cutter so the internal metal teeth have a fresh surface to grip.
Check for Internal Debris: Small bits of plastic dust can occasionally collect inside the quick-connect port during multi-color printing. Clear the socket with a brief blast of compressed air when swapping the housing or tubing.
